Electrical Design Engineer

Our Electrical Design Engineer will assist with the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems used within the company. The candidate should be familiar with mathematical and engineering principles and methods used to design electrical systems. The position will be guided by and provides support to the senior engineering staff.

Responsibility Areas:

• Participate and contribute to innovative system development and sustainable maturation
• Pursue continuous improvement of system design and efficiency gains using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
• Design wiring diagrams and cable harnesses in CAD-software
• Attend supplier (and customer) meetings
• Equipment testing and troubleshooting
• Communication and technical follow-up of manufacturers and suppliers
• Analyze, prepare and convey component specification and selection
• Closely collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing on concurring projects

Kvalifikasjonskrav

What do you bring to Evoy?

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Technology or other similar degree
• 2+ years of experience in a similarly position
• Knowledge of fundamental Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic concepts
• Familiarity with Mechanical / Fixtures build tools and procedures
• Good hands-on Mechanical assembly skills
• Experience in conducting Mechanical / Electrical tests on components and Fixtures
• Desirable to have working knowledge of various Electrical Test equipment and set ups
• Understanding of software / programming basics and ability to learn new test software

Preferred Qualifications:

• AutoCAD Experience
• REVIT Experience
• Electrical power system modeling experience
• Experience with facility power, lighting and signal systems
• Experience with medium voltage distribution design
