Front-end/App developer

Tibber is the first fully digital energy company in the world. Our app replaces the classical energy supplier and our technology reduces your energy consumption and your energy bill.

Our mission is to reduce the residential energy consumption in Europe by 20% and let all homes use energy in a sustainable way. We are constantly challenging the dinosaurs in the market by use of new technology and fresh ideas. We believe the power is yours!

The Tibber team now counts 15 members and our locations are Stockholm, Sweden and Førde, Norway. Through 2019 we will expand to new market areas, and we are thrilled to be backed by fenomenal investors like Petter Stordalen, BKK Invest and Wellstreet.

Our growth rate has been truly amazing, and still we are just getting started. We hereby invite you to contact us to see if we have any joint interests. You could be the next adventurer to join our team.

About the job:

The majority of the Tibber team has an engineer's mindset. We believe in building software (bots) to do the everyday work related to our business, i.e. do energy trading, billing, serving customers, lowering the customer's energy consumption through algorithms etc.

The visible part of our technology is our Tibber app (iOS and Android), in addition to certain features and sites implemented in HTML5 (we love it). The front-end solutions are using services and data crunching in our back-end hosted in our "Tibber cloud" at AWS.

A lot of pride and tons of work has been put into the development of our apps. However, striving for a top notch UX always means many iterations and always pushing forward. We would rather drop features than risking a user experience with high friction, inconsistent flows or poorly designed visuals.

We are using leading, but sometimes also bleeding edge technologies (no pain, no gain). Mostly we develop new things, but we do refactor stuff, simply because we want higher speed and less code-legacy problems.
